Many procurement teams have transitioned in recent years but not always from the same state to a new state.
Not many have achieved a successful transition to an end-to-end category management structure supporting a new balanced scorecard measurement of the benefits.
CASE STUDY: The Dept of Justice Victoria (DJCS) is the first Victorian Government department to place category management at the core of its procurement operating model.
In addition, the analytics and processes that underpin the new operating model, to help the shift in culture/mindset from one that prioritises “governance and compliance” to one that prioritises “customer value”

Robert Pease is the Director of Category Management at The Department of Justice VICTORIA (DJCS) and instrumental in delivering this project for the Victorian Government.
Previously, Robert has been acknowledged as an expert procurement consultant & trainer both for The Faculty and previously in industry at both Telstra & Cadbury’s
