Session held 5th May 2022
About this session
Sourcing is the lifeblood of procurement, working for the best market outcome, using your leverage and striving for competitive advantage - this is what its all about, or is it….?
As a wise man once said, if you keep squeezing the stone, then eventually you’ll get blood, but that eventually savings achieved will tend to zero over time. Then what?
So how can sourcing remain relevant in an increasing mature procurement and relationship environment? And is ‘strategic sourcing’ just proactive purchasing – or is there more to it maybe?
In this session we will explore the differing avenues that strategic sourcing, can be used in, its place within category management, what the latest research tells us and how we can utilise models for success.
Your expert facilitator:
Gordon Donovan is a Procurement Evangelist and the Market Research Director for SAP/Ariba in this region.
Based in Melbourne, Gordon is also a former CPO as well as a procurement practitioner, consultant and trainer
